A team of volunteers are making the costumes for the cast of Blood & Chocolate. They are housed at the Guildhall, in offices vacated by city council staff who have moved to the new West Offices building. This is an old photo (copyright The Imperial War Museum) showing how women factory-workers were dressed at the time of the First World War. The community theatre production 'Blood and Chocolate’, about issues affecting the people of the city at the outbreak of the First World War, is to be held in October 2013 outdoors on the streets of York.
